Stephen Kozan gave us another great presentation this year. He had the students do what he calls "flash fiction" where students just write for 15-20 minutes. Students turned in their flash fiction and Stephen Kozan then chooses 3 finalists to do a second writing for a chance to have a contract with his company to publish a book. These are the 3 finalists this year: Wyatt Murkin, Harlow Dixon, and Keeston Moore! Good luck to our finalists!

Preschool and 2nd grade hanging out today!

2nd grade students are investigating pumpkins! They made observations and are sorting them into groups of 10s. They will then take those numbers of seeds and write them four different ways for place value in math and will finish investigations for science! They also carry this over to writing and students will work on adjectives on writing a descriptive piece to describe each of their pumpkins.
