Elementary families: Please be sure that your child is dressing appropriately for the weather. Even when it's cold, we try to go outside for recess. Thanks!

All of the students enrolled in Nutrition and Wellness recently completed the ServeSafe food handlers program. This certification is sponsored by the National Restaurant Association and is good for 2 years.

Great work by our 5th grade Science and 6th Grade Language Arts learners. Good stuff!

Parent Survey on Attitudes about Teaching
The Missouri School Boards’ Association (MSBA) and Missouri PTA, with support from The Leadership Academy, want to learn about Missouri parents’ attitudes on teaching through an online survey. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Swahili, and Vietnamese from the drop-down menu. MSBA and Missouri PTA hope to use the information gathered from this survey to help elevate the teaching profession with resources districts can use to supplement local recruitment and retention efforts.

We can't wait to see this board become bright with all of the lightbulbs of kindness and good deeds that our school community sees around us!

Congratulations to Ava Miller! Last week 3rd-4th grade students had an author’s visit with Stephen Kozan. He had them all do an activity called “fast fiction” where they are only given 20 minutes to write part of a story. Four finalist were chosen to complete a 125 word summary and Ava was chosen by Ready Aim Write Publishing to have her story published this year. More information to come about preordering her book!

There’s nothing like an afternoon knitting break!

We hope that you have a wonderful break. Happy Thanksgiving!
