Kingsville R-I Family,
The forecast is showing a chance of potentially inclement weather for Tuesday,
January 21st. At this time, we are planning on being in school, but to prepare for the
possibility of severe weather, we will send home paper packets with all K-6 students
today.
If we decide that the conditions warrant an AMI day on Tuesday, students will
complete these packets at home. Our teachers have already instructed students on
how to complete their work.
In the event that we have an AMI day, announcements will be made through
notifications, SMS messages, emails, posts, and news stations.
Having an AMI day allows us to continue teaching and learning without needing to
make up the day later this school year. If the forecast indicates inclement weather,
we will send paper packets home in advance. If we do not send them home and
severe weather occurs, we will cancel school for the day, which would require a
makeup day.
Please leave AMI packets in your child’s folder until it is needed for inclement
weather.
It is crucial that students access and complete their assignments on an AMI day, as
this work will contribute to their grades and attendance. Failure to complete the work
will result in an absence for that day.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see all of our students on
Tuesday, January 21st.

Kingsville R-I Family,
The forecast is showing a chance of potentially inclement weather for Tuesday,
January 21st. At this time, we are planning on being in school on that day, but to
prepare for the possibility of inclement weather, we will send Chromebooks home
with all 7-12 students when they leave today.
If we decide that conditions warrant an AMI Day on Tuesday, all students will
complete work virtually for the day using their Chromebooks and Google Classroom.
Our teachers have instructed all students on how to access their assignments and
provided instructions for completion. For those without internet access at home, there
will be work available that can be accessed offline.
Should we determine that Tuesday will be an AMI Day, we will communicate this via
notifications, SMS messages, emails, posts, and news stations.
Having an AMI Day instead of simply canceling school allows us to continue teaching
and learning without needing to make up the day later in the school year. If we
anticipate inclement weather, we will send Chromebooks home in advance. If we do
not send them and severe weather occurs, we will cancel school for that day and
make it up later. It is imperative that students access and complete their
assignments, whether online or offline, as these will count toward their grades and
attendance. Failure to complete any work will result in an absence for that day.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see all of our students on
Tuesday, January 21st.

We will have elementary tutoring today (Monday January 13th) until 4:15pm. Please let us know if you DO NOT want your child to stay. Thank you!

Softball open gyms are here! They will begin 1/16 and end on 2/20 from 6:30-7:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the gym.

Father Daughter Dance forms are going home today! The dance is on Friday January 31st from 6:00-8:00pm in the Kingsville Multi. Forms are due Monday January 27th. Extra forms are in the office.

Monday, January 13th, we will have a 2-hour delayed start. The school day will run from 9:50 AM to 3:15 PM. Staff hours will remain from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, so please exercise caution when coming in.
The doors will open at 7:30 AM for students who need to be dropped off, and they will have the opportunity to get breakfast and wait in the multipurpose room until school begins at 9:50 AM. For our students in grades 7-12, we will follow an abbreviated schedule, starting with 1st hour at 9:50 AM.
This delay is intended to allow the temperature to rise above freezing and provide additional travel time for both student drivers and bus drivers with the sun up. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize student safety during this time.

At this time, we are planning on having school tomorrow but will be closely monitoring road conditions throughout the day. If we are in session, our primary concern is ensuring the safety of our students and staff during the morning commute.
Please remind your children to wear coats and dress responsibly, choosing smart footwear for walking to the bus stop, the parking lot, and into the building. It's important to leave early, drive slowly, and give yourself more space than usual on the roads.
If you do not hear from us or see a post similar to last week, please assume that we are having school as scheduled.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and let’s keep our community safe. We appreciate your patience during this time.

Tonight's game at Wellington-Napoleon has been postponed. We will let you know when a make-up date is announced.

Good morning Kingsville Tiger Family,
There will be no youth basketball this Saturday, 1/11. We look forward to getting all of them back in the gym next week.

Due to road conditions around our district, and the increasing risks of tomorrow morning’s commute the Kingsville R-1 School District will be closed Friday, January 10th. It will be a traditional snow day. We look forward to seeing all of our kids and starting strong on Monday. Stay safe and warm!

The Kingsville R-1 School District is hoping to have school on Friday January 10th, but with more snow in the forecast the decision about school on Friday may not be made until early Friday morning. Please know that decisions to cancel school are not made lightly, as the safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority. Thank you for your continuing patience.

Due to icy road conditions, the Kingsville R-1 School District will not be in session on Thursday January 9th. It will be a traditional snow day. Stay safe and warm!
