🎨✨ Elementary Arts Discovery Day is TOMORROW! ✨🎭
If you haven’t heard—get excited! Tomorrow, Kingsville Elementary will be buzzing with creativity as volunteers join us to introduce students to arts, crafts, woodworking, acting, painting, dancing, and more.
Will it be fun? Absolutely.
Will it get a little messy? Probably! 😄
While we can’t dictate what students wear, you might want to skip the white and dress for creativity.
We’re so thankful for our volunteers and can’t wait to see our students explore, create, and discover. It’s going to be a fantastic day! 💙🎉

January Student of the Month Assembly

In honor of National School Counseling Week, we would like to give a heartfelt shout-out to our incredible school counselor, Mrs. Karlie Cederquist. Mrs. Cederquist’s compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for our students, staff, and families have made a lasting impact on our school district and our greater community. She has been a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and care—always putting students first and helping them navigate both academic and personal challenges with kindness and professionalism. As her last day with us will be Friday, February 6th, we want her to know how deeply she will be missed and how grateful we are for everything she has done for our school family. Her work has truly left a legacy.
We would also like to warmly welcome and celebrate our new counselor, Ms. Laura Lockard. Over the past month, Ms. Lockard has been working closely alongside Mrs. Cederquist and has already proven to be a wonderful addition to our school community. Her commitment to students, collaborative spirit, and positive presence have made a meaningful impression, and we are excited for our families and students to continue working with her. While change can be bittersweet, we are confident in the care and support Ms. Lockard will provide moving forward.
Happy National School Counseling Week to both Mrs. Cederquist and Ms. Lockard! We are thankful for the impact of school counselors and the vital role they play in supporting the hearts and minds of our students every day.

Good morning families,
As we monitor the upcoming cold weather forecast, we want to share a precautionary update in the event that we need to call an AMI Day on Friday January 23rd and/or Monday January 26th.
To help us be prepared, please note the following:
JH/HS students will be bringing Chromebooks home on Thursday afternoon so work can be completed if an AMI Day is needed.
Elementary students will have AMI packets placed in their take-home folders.
Additionally, if we do have school in session during extreme cold, bus drivers will be instructed to wait at each stop, so please do not have students wait outside for the bus. Because of this safety measure, there may be slight delays in pick-up times, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will communicate any decisions as we get closer through social media, our school website, notifications, text messages, and news stations.
Thank you for your support and partnership as we work to keep our students safe and prepared.
