March Title 1 Newsletter

Mrs. Wilkins and our 10th-grade students had a great experience visiting the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum. Throughout the trip, the students were respectful, well-behaved, and represented our school very well. Students stayed engaged during the exhibits and presentations, showing genuine curiosity about the life and presidency of Harry S. Truman.
They asked thoughtful questions, participated in discussions, and took time to explore the artifacts and displays. It was encouraging to see them connect what they have been learning in class to real historical documents and exhibits. Overall, the students demonstrated excellent behavior, curiosity, and a strong interest in history, making the trip both educational and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Wait a minute… did I see Miss Tammie? 👀

Our Farm-to-Table/Greenhouse class has been busy! Students discussed what it takes to grow the produce needed for pickles, gathered the supplies, and made four varieties of refrigerator pickles. Safe to say… they were delicious!
In International Cuisine, students are exploring Brazilian food. In the photo, they’re prepping Coxinha (crispy chicken croquettes), which will be served with Papas Chorreadas — Colombian potatoes with cheese and tomato sauce.
And this morning, our Seniors in Baking 101 invited the 6th graders up to the kitchen to help prepare and enjoy breakfast together. They were a great group!
Learning, cooking, and sharing great food — just another great day at Kingsville. Thank you, Mrs. Corwin and Mrs. Yokley

After sharing our Kindergarten stories with Mrs. Decker, she wrote a story for us about her new puppy Oreo. We also enjoyed a personal visit and got to watch Oreo practice some new tricks he is learning. What a great way to celebrate the end of our first big writing project!
