Mrs. Wilkins and our 10th-grade students had a great experience visiting the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum. Throughout the trip, the students were respectful, well-behaved, and represented our school very well. Students stayed engaged during the exhibits and presentations, showing genuine curiosity about the life and presidency of Harry S. Truman.

They asked thoughtful questions, participated in discussions, and took time to explore the artifacts and displays. It was encouraging to see them connect what they have been learning in class to real historical documents and exhibits. Overall, the students demonstrated excellent behavior, curiosity, and a strong interest in history, making the trip both educational and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Wait a minute… did I see Miss Tammie? 👀

Our Farm-to-Table/Greenhouse class has been busy! Students discussed what it takes to grow the produce needed for pickles, gathered the supplies, and made four varieties of refrigerator pickles. Safe to say… they were delicious!

In International Cuisine, students are exploring Brazilian food. In the photo, they’re prepping Coxinha (crispy chicken croquettes), which will be served with Papas Chorreadas — Colombian potatoes with cheese and tomato sauce.

And this morning, our Seniors in Baking 101 invited the 6th graders up to the kitchen to help prepare and enjoy breakfast together. They were a great group!

Learning, cooking, and sharing great food — just another great day at Kingsville. Thank you, Mrs. Corwin and Mrs. Yokley

After sharing our Kindergarten stories with Mrs. Decker, she wrote a story for us about her new puppy Oreo. We also enjoyed a personal visit and got to watch Oreo practice some new tricks he is learning. What a great way to celebrate the end of our first big writing project!

The 8th Grade Language Arts Poetry Café was a true celebration of creativity!

The talented “poets” presented their original poems to an engaged audience, sharing powerful words, personal stories, and bold voices. The room was filled with snaps, smiles, and support!

And of course — no café is complete without sweet treats! Guests enjoyed delicious goodies while soaking in the incredible performances.

A huge shoutout to Mrs. Taylor and her amazing 8th-grade students — you are AWESOME!

🌟 Staff Member of the Month Shout-Out 🌟

Our Staff Member of the Month is Becky Langston, who goes far beyond the kitchen every single day! Lovingly known as Miss Becky, she is an integral part of our school family. The sign on the kitchen door truly says it best: “The kitchen is the heart of the school.” ❤️

We are so thankful to have Miss Becky as such a dedicated member of our staff. She goes above and beyond—not just with breakfast and lunch, but also with staff luncheons, prom snacks, and countless extra touches that make our school feel like home.

We are so blessed to have her. Thank you, Miss Becky, for all that you do! 🍎🥪🎉
