Elementary Student of the Month Assembly

Kingsville Tiger Family,
The April 7th election day is coming up soon. There are 3 items on the ballot that are important to our school. One of which is a $0.50 increase to our operating levy. Our operating levy is without question our largest source of revenue for our school. The Kingsville R-1 School District has not raised its operating levy in now over 15 years. Below are two graphics with comparisons to other school districts in our area and also how a $0.50 increase would effect homeowners of different property values.

Yesterday the high school band received an overall Outstanding: Silver Rating at the state music festival.
They sounded amazing and we couldn’t be more proud of their progress this year. The performance went just as planned and they nailed the sight reading. We’ll get a more detailed look at the feedback soon but they should be very proud. Now on to solo/small ensemble contest tomorrow!

Thank you to our early morning visitors on Monday morning. Our Kingsville friend and retired Kingsville teacher, Mrs. West and her fellow Daughters of the American Revolution members dropped in to recognize the Kindergarten class for learning the Pledge of Allegiance and share what we have learned about famous Americans and U.S. symbols. After joining students in our morning routine and saying the pledge, members presented each student with a flag pin, flag pencils and a book about becoming a president. Our Tiger pride is as strong as our American pride!
